On the Paths of Jnan Sbil Garden

In this beautiful garden located near the edge of Medina, this is one of the only green spaces in the city. Since the city is next to desert most of the year, it is quoted to be a literal "breath of fresh air". The garden was built over a centry ago but was neglected for many years. There was a couple years of renovation that invlolved replanting, updating and a scandal that ocurred when there was human bones found undernear some of the flowerbeds. This magnificent place is a perfect place to take a break and relax under a tree for a quick lunch.

On the Streets of Djemaa el Fna Square

Located in Marrakesh, this historical city is a hotspot for travelers, tradesmen and preformers from all over the world. For over a thousand years this place has been a square where fortune tellers, snake charmers, poets and storytellers come to entertain. Merchants form across the world have come here to sell their exotic goods to travelers. Spices, clothes, jewlery, alcohol, food and more are commonly sold here year round to attrack any traveler passing through the city.

In a Valley near the Todra River

To the east of the High Atlas mountains there is a 25 mile stretch of canyon with the Todra river flowing at the base of it. The canyon is roughly about 33 feet across and the canyon walls stand about 500 feet tall. This beautiful scenery has many worn roads and pathways along the canyon that tourist can walk on as long as they share with the other pack animals that use them as well. Living in the city of Tinerhir, along the edge of the canyon, is the Amazighs people. This are the name of the native people west of the Nile river. These mostly nomadic people live a peacful life, and this suits them since thier name translates to "free people".

Moore's Where to Invade Next

Throughout the movie it is clear that countires are not similar to each other even if they share a boarder. This amplifies when the United States is compared to countries in Europe. Comparing food, work, holidays, entertainment, politics and more can sometimes be polar opposites when compared to the United State. For example, there are many kids form many different countries that are given high quality lunches at school while in the United State, the kids are given the cheapest meal that allows them to be considered "healthy". When shown pictures of the food in the United States, kids and cafeteria workers gasp in disgust because the meals looked so unappitizing. Other topic such as politics and work took a complicated turn when discussing the differences. Most countires give reasonable work hours to their employees and less complicated/corrupt government workers. Many agreed that the United States has a rather harsh and unforgiving government and work policies. By the end of the movie it was clear that travel and learning about the cultures in those regions is important when learning to understand the people around you in everyday life. Others can learn form you as much as you can learn form others.
